Dealership advised me they have set it, and I actually thought this was one-and-the-same, but you are absolutely correct and my menu also shows AC only. In which case, if they really have done this, it must be not through our User-menu.

I don't need a Rapid charge, but I am going to test this at a local Instavolt - that's the only way really to check... will report back later this week.

Update this evening - I tested the new functionality and, as the engineer stated, the CCS plug does now lock to the car's charging port, BEFORE starting a rapid/DC charge. HOWEVER, it takes ~30 seconds for the car to decide to lock the plug (which is also the time that it takes at home with the (AC) Lock charging cable = "Always"). I do not know if this is actually a feature that anyone can make use of (has anyone actually stood by a Rapid charger, not started a charge/tapped screen, and waited to test this? I certainly have not before.... though having said that the whole point of this post is that we have all experienced bad connections, so it is implied from collective experience that this probably doesn't normally happen). In any case, i'd like to see if anyone can replicate my observation by testing connection, for 30 seconds, but without starting an actual session.

This hopefully will address whether this is pre-programmed into all our cars, OR my dealership actually did manage to apply an instruction to just my car.

In any case, as per thread, this is still not an ideal fix, but at least has been acknowledged by Hyundai as an issue - whether this solves sufficiently well or not only time will tell.

If anyone does want to take up with their dealership, then I can tell you that I am serviced by the team at Hawkins Blackwater, near Truro, Cornwalll.

I set the lock with the old firmware, went to get the car out this morning and it is locked to the charger
I have no way of knowing how to unlock, there is no menu option in the new firmware
Older konas had a button, I don't
Any ideas - I have a ohme pro id that jelps

Ok, so lock the car and as you unlock you can remove the charger

I tried Reading Moto Services east bound high power Gridserve charger. I have tried these ABB chargers at multiple locations without success but this time I followed advice from Gridserve support who phoned me back a few weeks later with an update. (I am impressed with their customer service) I held the plug in the socket firmly until the hand shake with the car was completed and then it charged pefectly first time. I think if I can get the plug to lock in the socket it would hold it in tight enough but it doesn't seem to work the same way as for AC charging. I tried waiting over 30 seconds and locking the car with the remote control but neither method worked.
I'm going to cancel my appointment with the dealer now I have a work around (and avoid the £120 charge if they won't cover it on the warranty) but I'll ask if they know how to lock the connector in on a DC charger.

Had an issue at a Costa Coffee charging station, what you have to do swipe your card first then plug-in then start the charging process.
Pod point and Instavolt which I prefer plug-in , then access the charging point. I use Hyundai Charge system app or card.
