Hi all. Just got a 2021 Kona Ultimate, love the cars comfort and gadgets etc. Every car I have had, I generally achieved mpg better than manufacturer combined. However, they were all manual transmission petrol only cars. Now the Kona I have is auto transmission hybrid, so it's a whole new world to me. First thing I liked about it is the simplicity of driving in town traffic, not having to manually shift gears all the time, along with the fact that most of it is in EV mode.
However, as I am a nature photographer, I go just about anywhere for a days shoot, on longer journeys. So I am keen to get the best mpg I can.
Previous cars I had were Ford Fiesta diesel 72 mpg, Suzuki Ignis petrol 65 mpg.
So, the question is do you have any tips/techniques to achieve this.
Tips to achieve best MPG Kona Ultimate.

Correct tyre pressures.
Intelligent use of the Regen paddles - you SAVE more battery by coasting at regen = 0 than you GAIN by regening all the time.
Of course use Regen to keep speed legal on steep hills.
